ABOUT THE TEMPLE

HISTORY OF THE TEMPLE
Kulothuga Sozha the first had built this temple on the banks of the cooum waterway in 1112 A.D. The archeological office had found more than 14 engravings at different places around the temple. Throughout the years the name perumbakkam has changed into its present frame as Perambakkam. At first the temple was called as ‘Kulothunga Sozheeswararmudaiya Mahadevar’ Temple. STORY OF THE PLACE
