World's Largest Natrajar Idol of 27 Feets Height weighing 20 Tonnes Creates a attraction of everyone at G-20 Summit to be Held at New India.

Sri Natarajar idol of 27 feet Height weighing about 20 Tonnes was installed infront of Venue at G-20 Summit which is to be Held on September 9th and 10th of these year..

The 'Nataraja' has been created in the style of Chola tradition, prevalent in 9th century south India.

 1.It Holds to be the distinction of being the tallest ashtadhatu sculpture in the world.
 2. The 27-foot sculpture weighs about 20 tonnes completed with a remarkable time of 7 months revealed Ministry of Culture officials.
 3. It is made of eight metals or ‘ashta dhatu’ i.e. copper, zinc, lead, tin, silver, gold, mercury and iron
 4. Sculpted by Thanjavur's traditional Sthapatis of Swamimalai, using the 'lost-wax casting' method, it took around 3.25-lakh man hours to take shape
 5. The idol showcasing Shiva's tandava pose has two invisible interlocked triangles representing both Shiva and Shakti and is mounted atop the 'demoniac dwarf'
 6. "The artisans from Swamimalai in
Kumbakonam in Tamil nadu who are renowned for their traditional expertise, have employed the time-honoured 'lost wax' casting process adhering to ancient canons and measurements prescribed in the Shilpa Shastra or the science of sculpturing, which have guided the creation of Nataraja sculptures since the Chola period in the 9th century AD,"
 7. Nataraja', aka the Lord of Dance, symbolises the omnipresent and the infinite. It will be an integral part of the summit convention centre of the the G20, an international consortium that includes 19 countries and the European Union
