This temple is located right inside
Kanchipuram town and is one of the sacred shiva temples in kanchipuram
district, Tamil nadu.
Vazhakarutheeswarar temple is a ancient
hindu temple dedicated to lord shiva. It is located in kanchipuram town and is nearly 2kms from kanchipuram bus stand . Vazhakarutheeswarar
temple is a perfect remedy temple for
getting a favorable judgement from all civil and criminal court cases and to
get rid of all kind of litigation or law issues.It is said that temple
is about 1000 years old and there is no evidence to prove that.

OVER-VIEW OF TEMPLE :
This
temple is facing east side with a thirukulam in-front. The 3 floor rajagopuram
is facing on north side.After entering the temple there is lord ganapathi
straight through rajagopuram and in
middle Dwajasthambam, balipedam and nandhi is present.
Moolavar
is of 16 surfaces lined shiva linga and
is 4 feet below the ground level. Moolavar(Vazhakarutheeswarar) , Somaskandar
and Parasareswarar and in aline.
In
the outer pradhishana marakam there are individual sannadhi for lord vinayagar,
lord Murugan with valli and Devasena, lord durga devi , Chandikeshavar, Kala bhairavar, lord surya bhagavan and lord chandran
and Navagrahas. And in the wall of moolavar sanndhi there are sanctorum of lord
venkateswara swamy and lord brahma.The arthamandapam of lord shiva is also
beside of moolavar.
STORY BEHIND VAZHAKARUTHEESWARAR
TEMPLE :
According
to puranas, there was controversy between devas and sages about
postulates in vedams. At that time devas and sages are worshiped lord shiva
(form of lingam ) in this temple to know the truth about their controversy.
Lord shiva got delighted by their worship and appeared in front of devas and
sages in this temple and solved the controversy between them. Lord shiva
directly appeared and solved the problem between devas and sages in this
temple. So that it is widely believed worshipping “ Vazhakarutheeswarar”
will relieve oneself from all the lawsuits problems.
POOJA PROCEDURE :
People
who having prolong cases and issues can
visit here and perform abhishekam to Vazhakarutheeswarar and get the blessing of lord shiva. One should
offer pooja continuously for (16 MONDAYS , 16 PRADHISHNAM , 16 DEEPAM TO
LIT ) 16 Mondays and do 16 pradhishanam and lit lamp to lord and at the
16th Monday can perform abhisekam to lord Vazhakarutheeswarar and
get solve to all legal issues.
