Ancient Chola Period Bronze Idol of Kaliya Marthana Krishna is returning to India from US

An ancient bronze Idol of "Kaliya Kalki" or "Kaliya Marthana Krishna" is know as Dancing Krishna, belonging to the later 11th -12th Century Chola period, which was stolen from Tamil Nadu temple was traced by the Tamil Nadu police idol wing, and was found with the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in the US, is coming back to India today...

The Chola-era bronze murti was stolen from a temple in Tamil Nadu by antique smuggler Subash Chandra Kapoor before 2005, and later handed over to another antique smuggler Douglas Latchford. It was valued at $6,50,000 or ₹5.2 crore at the time of purchase.
